Machupicchu By Train

The tour starts with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco from 4:20 to 4:30 a.m., then we will go by tourist bus to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train that will take you to Aguas Calientes, the duration of the train ride is 1 hour and 45 minutes. All along the way you will be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes with extensive crops, livestock, mountains and snow-capped peaks.

Once you arrive at the train station in Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting to take you to the bus station, then we will travel for 30 minutes to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, after the entrance to the Inca City of Machu Picchu, the guide will begin with the guided tour of the main attractions such as: the enclosure of the guardian, the temple of the sun, the Intiwatana, the temple of the three windows, the sacred square, the temple of the condor, the sacred rock and others. Afterwards we will have some free time to take pictures and explore the site on our own.

After the visit to Machu Picchu you will return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included). In the afternoon you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.

Vistadome Train (extras)

The train to Machu Picchu Vistadome offers a different way to travel to the citadel. The cars have panoramic windows located on the walls and ceilings of the cars, which allow you to have a connection with the outside. The Vistadome train approaches the landscapes of the route to Machu Picchu in a unique way, making passengers feel part of the nature that surrounds them.

Outbound Journey: While enjoying the beauty of the train to Machu Picchu, background music will envelop you for a pleasant and sensory journey. Additionally, an explanatory audio will describe the most relevant places on the route to the citadel.

Return trip: On the way back from Machu Picchu to Cusco you will experience the Andean culture up close through music and a beautiful dance of the region, as well as a fashion show on board that will show you an exclusive collection of baby alpaca garments with the latest trends which you can purchase if you wish.

360° Train (extras)
